This newsletter is 2 years old! AGB started during the depths of the pandemic lockdowns, survived the reopening of 2021 and even as life returns to normal, we’re still going at it.

Let’s see how much the newsletter’s reach has grown. AGB started the year with just over 3.2k free subscribers and that number has moved up to 4.5k recently. 1.3k additional readers in the first 6 months of the year is a success in my book.

Special thanks to all the other Substack writers that have recommended AGB so far!

The most read and shared write-up so far was on Salesforce.com (CRM). The write-up was sent to almost 3.4k readers and has over 9.3k views.

What’s also encouraging is that the overall open rate has actually improved starting late last year and has consistently moved towards 55%.

Goals Remain the Same

While I have some ambitions to expand what the newsletter has to offer (some of which I shared in previous updates), the format for AGB will remain the same for now.

As for goals this year, they remain similar to the goals from the end of 2021 post. I still want to engage more with other investors and try to be more active on Twitter. And experimenting with additional short-form write-ups will happen in the future, likely coinciding with the newsletter’s expansion.

Schedule for the Remainder of 2022

Starting this year the schedule for write-ups changed from every two weeks to every three weeks, and that will remain for the rest of the year. With 8 write-ups completed already YTD, we’ll finish the year with 16 total. So by year end, AGB will have 54 write-ups in the archive.

Also, as usual I’m taking an extra week in July, so the next issue will be published on July 11th at 1pm ET.
